Alumni Status

As mentioned in the Save The Date Letter, 26 classmates have died since our last reunion in Oct. 2004. Delores Cohen Lubowitz had not been to a reunion for several years and thoroughly enjoyed herself after reuniting with school friends during and after the 50th reunion. Everyone was shocked when we learned of her death in Feb. 2005after a short illness.

Peter Kowesky came from Calif. He also had not been to a reunion in many years. Having all attendees resign his yearbook was important to him. He died in august 2005.

Suzie Olson Almond looked well at the reunion but apparently had had a bout with cancer. She was an enthusiastic alumna and always had suggestions for upcoming reunions.

Sally Jackson Condon was on the committee for many reunions and she made the reunion name tags with our high school pictures. Retiring shortly after the reunion she joined our lunch group. Sally died suddenly in June 2007 after a night out with her husband

Sheila Koski Sevene passed away in Oct. 2007 after along illness. She was well enough to attend all the events of our 50th as well as the mini reunion in the spring of 2007.

Jean Gallien Brown came to the reunion in a weelchair. Several classmates helped maneuver her around. Feedback said she had a wonderful time and was looking fowardto the 55th. She passed away in April 2007 while living in a nursing home.

Bill craigen was also with us seemingly in good health. He died in May 2008 from melanoma.

Richard Kenyon did not attend this reunion but he did send a note which was read at the dinner part of his obituary that he wrote said "Memorial donations may be to yourselves. Go out to dinner, laugh and have fun. Thanks for the memories. love Richard" He died in November 2007.

David "Moo" Caputi died in June of 2008 after along illness. He had not been to any recent because they always conflicted with football games his son coached at Bowdoin College.

Ivers Lawrence passed away in June 2006. He lived in New Ipswich, NH and had been ill for some time before his passing,

Bob Barholm, after a very long illness passed away in Calif,

Richard Murphy who wintered in Englewood Florida and summmered in Kennebunkport Maine has died recently. - 032709

The following did not attend any recent reunions and less is known about them. Pauline Brunell Tessier 2007, William Dube 2008, Roger Brackett, Anna Duling and Elnaine Walkonen Baker Jan 2009. This makes a total of 58 classmates who will be remembered on June 6th at our 55th reunion. We can only keep track of deaths when they appear in local papers or hear about them by chance. If anyone knows of any we have please let us know.
